Learn the Art of Culinary with our chef led classes

Have you ever had a meal at one of our restaurants and thought, "I wish I could be this good of a cook."

Well now you can learn from the pros with our Culinary Art - Cooking Classes at the Studio. Our chefs are teaching you how to unlock that inner chef that you have been searching for all of these years.  The 9 class series is being held at the Studio at Gulf and Pine (across the street from the Sandbar) and kicked off with the first class teaching Stocks and Sauces.

Classes consist of hands on instruction by our chefs and then of course you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor dining on some great food that you and our chefs have created.

The remaining classes are running every Thursday afternoon from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.  Topics include:

June 14th – Sushi – Let’s Roll 
Chef: Rich Demarse – The Sandbar
Learn the art of the perfect roll and some creative ways to make this restaurant delicacy at your own home.

June 21st – Eggs, Eggs, Eggs!
Chef: Erik Walker – Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant
Learn some creative ways to use farm fresh eggs for one-of-a-kind dishes including soft scrambled eggs, sous vide eggs and poached egg.

June 28th – The Summer Grill
Chef: Erik Walker – Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant
Learn some great grilling techniques and explore the perfect grilling set up from creative charcoals to gas vs. charcoal grilling. Get these tips just before the grilling event of the year, July 4th.

July 5th – Fish and Poultry
Chef: Erik Walker – Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant
It's time for some knife work as Chef Erik teaches you the best way to fillet and debone fish and poultry and then of course, it’s time to get creative in the kitchen as he teaches you some unique techniques for these proteins.

July 12th – Comfort Food
Chef: Will Manson – The Beach House
Learn some new techniques for some old
home-style favorites. 

July 19th – Prepared to Order
Chef: Toffer Jacob – Sous Chef – The Sandbar
Take French cooking local as you learn how local ingredients can be transformed into French cuisine.

July 26th – Let's Party
Chef: Will Manson – The Beach House
Probably the most popular class in the series, Chef Will will teach you how to be the party hero with great hors d' oeuvres, noshes and cocktails.  Of course, learning how to make them is only the start as you get to enjoy your creations as well.

August 2 – Vegan Dinner
Chef: Rich Demarse – The Sandbar
Learn how to make a fabulous dinner with just farm fresh vegetables but still be delicious for your favorite carnivore as well.  It's where healthy meets delicious.
